About Route Thirteen

I am a native of Nashville born in 1976. Interesting mixes of cultures inspire me seeing as that my parents are from the North; it gives me an interesting mix. The southern roots with a northern kick. I attended high school locally and earned one degree in Nashville(graphic design). The first degree was accomplished in North Carolina, which has a great combination of artistic ideas and inspiration: painting, drawing, sculpture, jewelry, print making, ceramics…you name it. With each visiting artist I learned new techniques and inspiration. My final destination is jewelry, and I couldn’t be happier.

What has always been a passion has luckily turned into a life goal, ambition and career. Forever learning new craft and technique always lends itself to new and innovative design. My pieces are hand crafted, formed, textured and molded from wire or sheet sterling silver, gold and copper. I try to use everyday shapes and pattern to create jewelry for the everyday wear, or can be worn for a big night out. The collection as a whole portrays a contemporary look with sophisticated design.
